He uses his own family experience (several boys and one girl), yet is careful to show the principles involved, not just the specific methods. My wife and I were able to immediately adapt his examples to fit our family. In different lectures he covers different stages of children's lives. I plan to re-watch the DVD whenever our kids go through a new period. Great for couples with kids to watch together, or for small groups. Lots of discussion material here! the QA's are helpful as well. I highly recommend it!
