Return Policy

Resellers/Distributors may return overstock books under the following conditions:

 

  • Books can only be returned AFTER 90 days or more from the date of invoice but no more than twelve months.
  • Credit memos will only be applied toward future purchases.
  • Credit memos will NOT be applied to unpaid invoices which were previously granted repayment terms.
  • Books must be published by Canon Press.
  • Books must be purchased directly from Canon Press.
  • Returned items may not be reordered for 30 days from the date a credit memo is issued.
  • Returns accompanied by an invoice will be credited at net price less a 5% restocking fee.
  • Returns without an invoice will be credited at new price less 10%.
  • Damaged books (Scratched, dented, torn, bent, scuffed, price marked or shelf worn) will be credited at net price less 20% regardless of whether an invoice is presented.
  • Returns are not accepted on Audio Tapes, Audio CDs, Video Tapes, or DVDs.
  • Reseller/Distributor must pay transportation charges on return shipments.

 

Non-Resellers may return books under the following conditions:
  • You must obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) before returning books.
  • Books must be in sellable condition. (i.e., no scratches, dents, tears, bends, scuffs).
  • Books must be published by Canon Press.
  • Books must be purchased directly from Canon Press.
  • Credit memos will only be applied towards future purchases.
  • Returns are not accepted on Audio Tapes, Audio CDs, Video Tapes, or DVDs.

How to Obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA):


After an order has been shipped, the Order Details page in the "My Account" area displays a link to request an RMA - Return Merchandise Authorization. You can now initiate a request online.


Step 1: Login to your account under "My Account" at the top right of the page.

Step 2: Click on the link for "View Previous Orders" in the Account menu.

Step 3: Click on the corresponding "Order number" for the return.

Step 4: Scroll to the bottom of the page to the "Returns" section and click on "Request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA)."

  • When requesting an RMA, you can specify which products you would like to return, if the order included more than one product.
  • You are not immediately given an RMA number to use for the return. The store admin will review the request and determine whether the return falls within the terms of our Return Policy.
  • If the store admin approves the RMA request, a unique number will appear on the order details page, on the order for which the RMA request was submitted, together with any comments the store admin may add.
  • You will be notified of the RMA status update both by e-mail and through the orders detail page - accessible from the Customer Account menu.

Damaged Products:
  • Damaged or defective products may be returned immediately for full credit (replacement or refund).
  • You must notify us, within 30 days of receipt, of books damaged in transit.
  • You may notify us of defective books at any time.
  • You must notify us, within 30 days of receipt, of damaged or defective audio tapes, audio CDs, video tapes, or DVDs.
  • In some cases, we will not require return of the defective or damaged product. Please describe the defect or damage and indicate how many items were affected. We will cover shipping costs to receive and replace the product.
Incorrect Shipments:

Upon receipt of the shipment, please verify the items to the invoice or packing slip as you unpack the box. Please notify us of any discrepancy within 72 business hours. We also ask that you provide us with your detailed review of the "books received" compared to our invoice and/or packing slip.
